Time for the LORD~

A poem,a tribute to our Lord;
An action,an example to the people;
A song,a guidance to the lost;
A love,an example set by our God.

Here is the main poem though...hahaha...

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.....
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"

The most rewarding job

I received an email a few days ago that mentioned the life of parents.
How they nurtured us when we were a toddler;How they care for us when we were sick;How they console us when we were down;How they stand up for us;How they helped us in every single way that they can...

Now,how about us? Have we stayed up late just to take care of our parents when they are sick? have we been ignoring them whenever they speak up? have we been away from home whole day just to meet up with friends? have we actually think how they would've felt?

Even tough the children tend to ignore the parents and spare little love compared to the love of parents, parents is actually a pretty rewarding job. Looking at the children growing day by day to be a fine gentleman or a lady. How joyful the heart of a parent would be.Looking at the results of their own upbringing, how rewarding it is.

Ask any young parents, after they have worked their sweat out in the day, what do they feel when their young little child came and sing an out of tune "twinkle twinkle little star"... indeed, parenting is not an easy task, but rewarding in many ways...

To the parents, Thank you for everything that you've done. We as children truly appreciate that even though it doesn't look like it.

To the children, spend some time with your parents, even if it is just sitting beside them without saying a word, it is still a very, very special moments for your parents.

A famous statement that is still remembered today. Romeo and Juliet, a masterpiece of William Shakespear. I am pretty sure that you have come across this title, but have you ever thought of giving it some time and actually read through the story? The general idea of the story is pretty well known but the details, is indeed very intriguing.

The love of a princess and a prince whose parents were enemies. Can their love prevails? or did they live a life of pain and suffer? Spend some time and read through the play while playing some sentimental songs on your PC, feel the emotions that were being felt by the characters, put yourself in their shoes and think. A song that I recommend would be "you raised me up" by Josh Gorban. It is a very suitable song to be heard while reading this tragic love story.

A Story for Christmas

Long time ago, there are 3 candles and a young boy.
The first candle,LOVE, said:"This world is engulfed by hatred. Driven by hatred, people start hurting others, ignoring those who are in need...LOVE is forgotten..." and the flame of the first candle,LOVE, died.

The second candle, PEACE, said:"This world is driven by greed. Because of greed, war keeps arising and people dying. Did they not know the value of peace? Did they forget the peaceful life? Did they stop dreaming of having a peaceful life?" and the flame of PEACE died.

After some time waiting for the third and the last candle, the boy asked:"Aren't you going to say anything about the world? This world is driven by hatred and greed, people dying yet noone cares..." and the third candle said:"I am HOPE, as long as I am here, love and peace will never cease to exist.". Astute

astute, what a strange name for a blog. What is the meaning anyway? Does this word even exist?

astute |əˈstut| - very clever and quick at seeing what to do in a particular situation, especially how to get an advantage.

Why this word? I wanted to use insight,but it was taken , so, the next thing that came up my mind is this.

I have came back to the world of blogs. It has been awhile since I last blogged, I wonder if I can really keep this up but anyway...here goes my first post~
